Hi, I’m Gian Franco Nercolini, a seasoned traveler and lifelong enthusiast for technology, culture, and the meaningful connections we make along the way. Over the years, I’ve had the joy of exploring more than 40 countries, with the Iberian Peninsula holding a special place in my heart. My experiences as a dedicated pilgrim on the Camino de Santiago have deepened my appreciation for the transformative power of travel—its ability to inspire, challenge, and connect us with something greater.

Outside of my career in technology, I’m a proud father of three, a role that has taught me the value of empathy, adaptability, and the small details that can make any journey truly memorable. Friends often say I have a natural gift for bringing people together and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere—something I’ve carried with me throughout my travels.

As a WSET-certified wine enthusiast, I’ve also developed a deep admiration for the rich viniculture and culinary traditions of Spain and Portugal. This passion, paired with my love of authentic experiences, inspired me to create Enjoy Iberia. Through this venture, I aim to help others uncover the hidden treasures of the region, crafting personalized itineraries and sharing the magic of its culture, landscapes, and flavors. Whether it’s through meaningful encounters, tailored itineraries, or simply sharing life’s finer pleasures, my goal is to make every experience unforgettable, authentic, and filled with joy.

As a Brother of the Archconfraternity of the Apostle James, I am deeply committed to sharing my knowledge and passion for the Camino de Santiago. While the Archconfraternity is based at the majestic Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, my work extends far beyond its walls, supporting and welcoming pilgrims from all walks of life, regardless of their religious or spiritual beliefs.

Through informational talks and workshops, I help walkers explore the rich history, traditions, and cultural significance of the Camino. I also provide practical guidance on preparation, ensuring that each pilgrim feels confident and ready for the journey ahead.

For me, the Camino is more than just a route—it’s a deeply personal and transformative experience that unites people from diverse backgrounds. My goal is to foster a welcoming and supportive environment where every pilgrim can embrace the journey in their own way, at their own pace.
