HOLY YEAR 2027

In 2027, Santiago celebrates a Holy Year.

The Holy Door of the Cathedral stays open all year, and will not open again until 2032. On the most popular stages, the best accommodation is the first to sell out.

WHO DESIGNS YOUR JOURNEY

Father and daughter, travellers first.

EnjoyIberia is a boutique agency dedicated to bespoke luxury travel across the Iberian Peninsula.

We come from the corporate and technology worlds. Gian Franco was an IT and sales director at multinational telecom companies, has been travelling since the 1980s and knows more than 40 countries. Rafaela worked in investment funds and fintech, founded a startup and holds an MBA in luxury brand management. From that world, we brought a rigour for every detail.

What we recommend is what we would choose for our own journeys.

THOSE WHO TRAVELLED WITH US

Fábio and Alessandra wanted a family journey with their daughter, Aline, one with room for each of their passions. Fábio, of Portuguese descent and a keen photographer, wanted to rediscover the pages of his family's history. Alessandra, who embroiders, dreamed of a glass of wine aboard a boat on the Tagus. Aline, a reader and an embroiderer like her mother, wanted bookshops.

The journey unfolded around all of this. Wineries, for the Portuguese wines the couple so enjoy. Historic bookshops and rare books, including the oldest bookshop in the world still in operation. Traditional haberdasheries, for their embroidery. The toast on the Tagus, at last. Fábio photographed spectacular landscapes as he reconnected with his roots. And there was time for a family tradition: the NFL final, watched together in Porto.

Alessandra, Aline and Fábio · Travel Design in Portugal

“The Camino de Santiago showed me how strong and resilient we are, and it was without doubt the best journey I have taken in years. Arriving at the Cathedral after days of walking is an emotion like no other. Something that only days before felt so far away was suddenly right in front of me.

Walking the Camino with the guidance and planning of @enjoyiberia made all the difference. Everything was perfect: the accommodation, the meals and the support, so my only concern was to walk 😊

It gave me the confidence to do something I was sure was almost impossible. Thank you for a wonderful experience that will stay with me.”

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Before our first conversation.

How does a bespoke journey with EnjoyIberia work?

It begins with a conversation about what you have in mind. From there, we design a personalised itinerary through Portugal and Spain, with hotels, restaurants, wineries and every detail of the logistics, delivered on a private website made just for your trip.

What is the difference between the guided and self-guided Camino de Santiago?

On the Guided Camino, you walk in a group with Gian Franco on every stage, with breakfast and dinner included. On the Self-Guided Camino, you walk at your own pace, without a guide, with accommodation chosen by us, a daily route plan and satellite tracking.

Can I do the Camino de Santiago by bike?

Yes. We also plan the Camino by bike, with stages and accommodation designed for that pace.

When should I start planning a Camino in the 2027 Holy Year?

As soon as possible. In a Holy Year, the same routes welcome far more pilgrims in the same months, and the best accommodation sells out many months in advance.

Which languages do you work in?

English, Portuguese and Italian.

Do you plan journeys beyond the Iberian Peninsula?

Our focus is Portugal and Spain. For those who already travel with us, we also design journeys to other European destinations.

How do I request a proposal?

On WhatsApp. In our first conversation we understand what you have in mind, and the proposal follows.

Your next journey begins with a conversation.

Tell us where you would like to go. We will turn that idea into a journey designed for you.
